PODCAST #289: How To Handle Overwhelming Problems by Tom Beal

Let me ask you a couple questions: Have you ever felt like God confused you with someone else and had given you a problem, challenge or issue you didn’t feel you can handle? Have you ever felt like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel with a particular challenge or obstacle? Regardless of whether you’re at the top of your game right now as you are here, or are hanging on by a thread at the moment, this episode may be exactly what you needed to hear to bring your game to a whole new level.

BTW – the 1st thing I do when BIG problems arise is to gather and ground myself by going for a walk, and to begin thinking about things I’m grateful for. Then when past the emotional stage, begin asking questions that would lead to an optimal solution regarding this challenge, obstacle, difficulty, or surprise. What works best for you?

I reach out to people to see if anyone can give feedback/ideas for solutions.

Like the process you mention and use Juanita!

Once you click on the iTunes URL above you must simply click on “View in iTunes, then Ratings and Reviews (top middle), then click on 5 stars (to spread the message), and leave your review). It’s a multi step process, hence why so few do it & why I appreciate it so much for those who do. 🙂

I did that but at the top middle did not see what you are saying is there.

Ah, ok. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t look on my phone, or explain how to do it via phone. Will add that later today. Make Today Great!

Wow! The day after posting this podcast, Tim Ferriss makes this blog post sharing about how he was planning to commit suicide his senior year at Princeton, which he had never shared to anyone before. He also shares steps to overcome dark moments and times: http://fourhourworkweek.com/2015/05/06/how-to-commit-suicide/?utm_content=buffer52ce5&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

Live Stream recorded discussing Tim’s blog post while I walk to an appointment at Mizner Park for lunch, using the iPhone Periscope app (find me there @tombeal) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehfvp7odSnQ

Thanks Tom, exactly what I needed to hear, having walked away from my life for over 5 months, today I have started to pick up the pieces and of course face that challenges that never went away even though I did! Leaving the problems until they have to be dealt with is my normal routine and then I find sitting outside with just nature by my side helps to give my mind the creative space it needs to determine a plausible solution.
